I've had a bit of a problem with anime since I was a teenager. It seemed like every time I watched it there was something weird going on with underage characters. Even though I grew up watching anime, it was hard to keep going, so I had stopped for a while. When I found out Delicious in Dungeon was about adult characters instead of fourteen-year-olds with weirdo fanservice scenes, I was really really happy. Like. Way too happy. I ended up watching it on TV and it caught my sisters' attention quickly.
Dungeon Meshi is so fun. I love all the gags and funny expressions the show has. Sometimes it can get a little bittersweet, but it's never downer town too long. I watched the Food Network a lot as a kid and loved cooking, so this hit home for me hard. All of the dishes look amazing in that typical godly anime food art way, and the cooking tends to be quite relaxing. The action is pretty good too.
Another thing I love is that the show has strong character design, in my opinion. All of the forward-facing characters have such cool looks. They're not overly complex for things like fanart, but they're recognizeable.

Laios Touden
When I found out about this anime, I thought Laios was going to be some chill guy. A typical hero type. Boy, was I wrong. This guy is strange. Bro is a little ~ freaky ~ and I could not be happier. There's just something about cute guys who are weirdos in an innocent way that I love :o]. He's definitely one of my newer character crushes. I kinda want a body pillow of him, but the only one they have is $70 for just the cover TvT... I might get it some day, but not right now.
Chilchuck Tims
Dude, Chilchuck is so adorable! I wanna give him a big hug :o3 He's pretty prickly, but he cares about his friends which is so cute. I have no smart things to say. He's squishy and I want to pull on him like a toy. When I first started watching this, I would mistakenly call him Chickluck for some reason. I'm doing better now though!!!
Marcille Donato
I don't have a ton to say about Marcille, but I think she's sweet and caring. I like the different hairstyles she does throughout the show. It's a little funny that she freaks out about the monster food, but ends up enjoying it anyway. I'm definitely not the final boss of shipping, but Falin x Marcille is so real, bro.
Anywho, I bought this really cool spinner a bit ago and I loved it! I did end up breaking it by accident, so I'll have to get a new one eventually, but it's still really cute. Huge recommend! I also got the Laios Yum or Yuck keychain for my sister.

I initially believed Bullet Train to be a typical stylistic action movie, and I'm glad I was wrong. It's an action comedy with funny, memorable characters and plenty of face-punching to keep you engaged.

I love watching bad horror movies and action, but sometimes I need to watch something calming with little going on. In comes "Locke", a 2013-14 A24 film that promised to only be a guy in a car taking calls. No masked killers, no guns, no explosions. It was exactly what I wanted when I asked ChatGPT for a recommendation.
